My Computer wont boot

Somehow, I managed to Fuck Up Hard on my Windows XP system. It wont boot now. it says NTDLR is missing. and Windows Recovery is no good. if it helps, I though that Windows Optimizer (which is a nasty little script that deletes your system32 folder) was a good idea to use. I know better now. What should I do?

Plug drive into another computer or use a linux boot cd and use some hard drive recovery software to restore the deleted files.. I use a commercial package but there's quite a few free packages

Reinstall, use a repair install or something.

Windows Repair didn't work. I wonder if they make emergency rescue linux live disks? I have ERD Commander and that hasn't done anything.

Whats good is I backed up all my music. That and a few pictures is all I give a shit about on my computer. I can reinstall games and stuff.

If your shit is backed up, why waste time trying to fix it when you can just reinstall?
